This weeks song is ~ I Want To Break Free ~ by Queen
I took this shot back in July. I was downtown at an old abandon building with my son. When We came upon this chair by a dock and a nap sack, where a homeless person has been living.
To me this shot says it all they just want to break free.....

Poverty is a terrible thing. Love the way you have coloured this shot, very effective.
ReplyDeleteJust the feel of your shot speaks volumes....
ReplyDeleteI love the vintage feel...a lot of feeling in this.
ReplyDeleteHomeless people -always so sad. And each one has his/her own story. I like your picture very much.
ReplyDeleteAwesome shot ....
ReplyDeleteThe homeless....so sad.
They are someone's son/daughter, sister/brother, mother/father ....
Very thoughtful Saun. Your editing brings home the main lyric.
ReplyDeleteSo true! No one expects or wants to be in that position! Beautiful shot.. thanks for sharing that one!
ReplyDeleteSuch a strong image!! One of the main reasons I don't enjoy visits to big cities, so many homeless people who society has tossed to the curb!!
ReplyDeleteWow this is a powerful photo. Makes you stop and think to be thankful for what you do have and not complain about what we think we want and don't have.
ReplyDeleteummm... love this!
ReplyDeleteThought provoking and powerful image. I am truly blown away this week by all the different interpretations of "I Want to Break Free"...creative people are so inspiring. Thank you :)
