Out for a Morning Walk

We were walking when this bird flew by us! Of course all I had with me was my point and shoot. I just can't seem to get use to not looking through a viewfinder and hold that tiny thing still. So here's my shots as they may be. Does anyone know what kind of bird this is? (hawk family)? I think the last shot is the best unfortunately he put his head down.

Snow Day Yippee!!!!

I just love to get that phone call...... due to the weather school will be closed!  So I spent the morning shooting what nature brought us. Beautiful  fluffy white snow thank you mother nature for the day off.
